Indian equity benchmarks ended the January 27 session on a positive note, but the broader gains masked visible pressure in several frontline stocks. While the Nifty closed above the 25,150 mark and the Sensex added nearly 0.4%, a set of heavyweight constituents finished the day as the top losers on the Nifty 50. Here are the losers from the Nifty 50 index (as per Trendline).
Mahindra & Mahindra recorded the steepest fall among Nifty 50 stocks, closing 4.2% lower. The stock ended the session at ₹3,393.5 after a decline of ₹149.9.
Kotak Mahindra Bank closed 3.3% lower at ₹408.7, losing ₹14.1 during the session.
Shares of Asian Paints declined 3.0%, settling at ₹2,622.8, down ₹80.9 from the previous close.
Eternal ended the day 1.9% lower at ₹253.9, registering a decline of ₹4.85.
Financial services firm Bajaj Finserv closed at ₹1,917.7, down 1.6% or ₹31.3.
Healthcare stock Max Healthcare also slipped 1.6%, ending the session at ₹975.5 after a fall of ₹15.9.
IT major Wipro closed 1.5% lower at ₹234.8, declining ₹3.6 during the session.
FMCG heavyweight ITC ended the day at ₹318.7, down 1.5% or ₹4.75.
Auto major Maruti Suzuki settled at ₹15,245, declining 1.5% after losing ₹224.
NBFC stock Bajaj Finance closed 1.4% lower at ₹914.7, down ₹13.15.
