Indian equity benchmarks managed to end the volatile January 12 session on a positive note, with the Nifty closing around the 25,800 level.  The Nifty settled at 25,790.25, rising 0.42%, while the Sensex closed at 83,878.17, up 0.36%. Bank Nifty gained 0.34% to finish at 59,450.50, and Midcap Nifty added 0.15% to close at 13,696.95.
