Metal sector stocks traded lower in early deals on February 13, 2026, mirroring weakness in the broader market. As of 10:15 AM IST, several frontline metal counters were quoting in the red, with select stocks declining over 4%.

The benchmark S&P BSE SENSEX was at 82,847.00, down 0.99%, while the NIFTY 50 stood at 25,531.75, lower by 1.07%, indicating broad-based selling pressure.

Major Metal Stocks Trade Lower

Hindalco Industries was among the worst performers in the sector. The stock declined 5.47% on the BSE to Rs 911.55 and fell 5.88% on the NSE to Rs 907.70.

National Aluminium Company (NALCO) also witnessed sharp selling, trading down 4.67% on the BSE at Rs 352.30 and 4.77% lower on the NSE at Rs 352.05.

NMDC dropped 4.64% on the BSE to Rs 80.80 and 4.87% on the NSE to Rs 80.61.

Vedanta slipped 4.03% on the BSE to Rs 674.05 and 4.23% on the NSE to Rs 673.00.

Hindustan Zinc declined 4.14% on the BSE at Rs 597.85 and 4.17% on the NSE at Rs 597.70.

Other Metal Counters in the Red

JSW Steel fell 1.66% on the BSE to Rs 1,226.55 and 1.71% on the NSE to Rs 1,226.60.

Tata Steel was down 1.90% on the BSE at Rs 204.15 and 1.97% on the NSE at Rs 204.00.

Jindal Steel & Power declined 2.70% on the BSE to Rs 1,170.55 and 2.74% on the NSE to Rs 1,170.40.

Steel Authority of India (SAIL) traded 2.09% lower on the BSE at Rs 157.05 and 2.01% lower on the NSE at Rs 157.12.

Coal India slipped 1.47% on the BSE to Rs 412.95 and 1.65% on the NSE to Rs 412.25.

APL Apollo Tubes declined 1.43% on the BSE to Rs 2,240.00 and 1.45% on the NSE to Rs 2,240.00.

MOIL was down 1.47% on the BSE at Rs 307.55 and 1.52% on the NSE at Rs 307.50.

Maithan Alloys fell 1.92% on the BSE to Rs 1,054.55 and 1.99% on the NSE to Rs 1,054.10.

Welspun Corp dropped 2.83% on the BSE to Rs 806.90 and 3.10% on the NSE to Rs 805.40.

Jain Resource Recycling declined 2.04% on the BSE at Rs 388.95 and 2.00% on the NSE at Rs 388.75.

Gainers Within the Metal Pack

Amid the broader weakness, Narmadesh Brass Industries Ltd. rose 2.1%, while Siyaram Recycling Industries Ltd. edged up 0.1%, emerging as marginal gainers within the metal space.
