Gold prices jumped to an all-time high on Friday as the dollar weakened amid the prospect of a reduction in U.S. interest rates, while palladium has increased 15% this week.
As of 0501 GMT, spot gold was up 0.4% at $2,567.99 per ounce, having set a new high of $2,570.03 earlier in the session. Bullion has gained almost 3% this week.
Shares of Kalyan, PC Jewellers, Motisons and other stocks surge up to 9% in morning trade.
As of 11:231 AM today, Kalyan’s stocks were up by 8.15% at ₹745.60, Motisons Jewellers shares were trading 6.29% higher at Rs 265.50, PC Jeweller shares were up by 4.99% at Rs 140.86 and other stocks like Rajesh Exports, Senco, Thangamayil, RADHIKA JEWELtech and Uday jewellery industries were up by 2 to 5%.
