The new buses, called “CITYLIFE”, will be stocked with several modern features like smartcard ticketing system, real-time passenger information system (PIS), intelligent transport management system (ITMS), a position tracking system called the automatic vehicle location system, and CCTV cameras.

“These buses are expected to cater to 50 million passengers per annum, covering around 20 routes across Delhi,” stated JBM Auto.

Apart from the aforementioned features, the buses will also be equipped with high-tech safety mechanisms such as electronic braking system, public address system, and a kneeling mechanism (the seats are fixed closer to the passenger’s door allowing senior citizens, children, and specially-abled to board easily all while allowing a quicker and faster boarding).

A user-friendly and efficient dashboard will also be included in the buses for better comfort of the drivers. “For drivers, the ergonomically-designed dashboard provides an intuitive and user-friendly system that allows drivers to concentrate on driving without distraction which makes it a truly global product”, the company stated further.

With the word out, JBM Auto’s stock price took off a major 9%, bringing the share to hit its 52-week high mark.
