On Tuesday, the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited’s shares surged by 11 percent after the company authorized a 270 MW thermal unit at the Bhadradri Thermal Power Project in Telangana.
At close, the shares ended 3 points or 11.27 percent high at Rs. 31.10 per share value. Further, the project located in Manuguru was given to BHEL by Telangana State Power Generation Corporation Ltd (TSGENCO). As per its filing, the company said that it is the first unit to be commissioned at the project. It also said the work on the three units is at a progressive stage.
BHEL is also implementing the 5×800 MW Yadadri project for TSGENCO, in Telangana. Moreover, it is also fulfilling the steam generator package at the 2×800 MW Telangana STPP for NTPC.
The government-owned manufacturing company also stated that it has been a committed partner in Telangana’s development. It has fulfilled its duty by supplying sets contributing to 88 percent of the coal-based power stations, as per media reports.
