Shares of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) gained more than 4% after the company announced the acquisition of fresh orders worth ₹6,795 crore, providing a strong boost to its order book and near-term visibility.
The latest order inflow comes just days after the company’s previous disclosure on March 30, 2026, indicating sustained momentum in defence contracts and continued demand for its advanced systems. The newly secured orders cover a wide spectrum of defence and communication equipment, reinforcing BEL’s position as a key supplier to India’s defence ecosystem.
Among the major highlights, BEL has received an order for mountain radars from the Ministry of Defence, aimed at strengthening surveillance capabilities in difficult terrains. The company has also secured an avionics package contract for the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, further deepening its involvement in indigenous defence programmes.
In addition to domestic orders, BEL has bagged a significant export contract for communication equipment, reflecting its growing presence in international markets. This development signals increasing global acceptance of Indian defence technology and positions the company for further overseas opportunities.
The order book also includes electronic fuzes, strategic components, system upgrades, spares, and services, highlighting the company’s diversified capabilities across defence electronics. This broad mix of contracts is expected to support steady revenue growth and strengthen BEL’s long-term outlook.
