Shares of Amara Raja Energy & Mobility fell more than 3% in early trade after the company reported a sharp decline in net profit for the third quarter.

Q3 Financial Performance (Consolidated, YoY)

For the quarter ended December, Amara Raja Energy & Mobility reported revenue of ₹3,410 crore, up 4.2% compared to ₹3,272 crore in the same period last year.

However, profitability came under pressure. EBITDA declined 7.9% year-on-year to ₹374 crore versus ₹406 crore. EBITDA margin contracted by 140 basis points to 11.0%, compared to 12.4% in the corresponding quarter last year.

Net profit saw a steep drop of 53.0%, falling to ₹140 crore from ₹298 crore a year ago.
