
Lucknow, April 18: Finance Minister Suresh Khanna on Monday claimed that Uttar Pradesh was number one in the country in distributing loans on easy rates. To roadside vendors under Prime Minister Swanidhi scheme and said to promote entrepreneurial skills of small entrepreneurs. Rs 21,000 crore loan will be distributed under the scheme in the next 100 days.
Addressing a press conference at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state office, Khanna said PM Swanidhi scheme will prove beneficial in making UP self-reliant. “Under the scheme loans of Rs 51,000 crore will be distributed in six months and Rs 2 lakh crore in five years in the second tenure of the Yogi government,” he said. He said more than Rs 33,000 crore is deposited in the PM Jan Dhan scheme to arrange funds for the public welfare works. “Along with opening Jan Dhan accounts in the banks 700 new bank branches and 700 ATMs of 12 banks will be started to expand the banking services in the state,” he said.
Khanna said as per the directives of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. And Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath austerity is being kept in mind. While executing all important works in a bid to strengthen the structure of the financial system in the state. Referring to financial achievements of the state government, Khanna said. At present the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) is more than Rs 17 lakh crore. “There has been a major increase in GSDP in the last five years,” he said.
The FM said that a big increase has been registered in the Credit-Deposit Ratio (CDR) of the state. And Bank Sakhis have played an important role in the banking system. “Due to huge increase in digital transactions in the state it has reached the level of Rs 391 crore. As a result of these and an unprecedented increase in the size of UP’s budget. It has become more than that of Rs 5 lakh crore,” he said.
