Eicher Motors Q4 profit increases 16%, B Govindarajan named CEO of Royal Enfield

Eicher Motors Limited (EML) has released its audited consolidated financial results for the quarter and year ending March 31, 2022. Eicher Motors’ total revenue from operations for the quarter ending March 31, 2022 reached an all-time high of 3,193 crore, up 8.6% from 2,940 crore in the same quarter of FY 2020-21.

In the same quarter of the previous financial year, EBITDA was 757 crore, up 19.3 percent from 634 crore. Profit After Tax was 610 crore, up 16.0 percent from 526 crore during the same period the previous year.

Royal Enfield sold 182,125 motorcycles during the quarter, down 10.4 percent from 203,343 motorcycles sold during the same time in FY 2020-21.

Eicher Motors overall revenue from operations for the Financial Year ending March 31, 2022 was at an all-time high of 10,298 crore, up 18.1 percent from the FY 2020-21 figure of 8,720 crore, bolstered by Royal Enfield’s performance in international markets.

EBITDA was 2,172 crore, up 22.0 percent from 1,781 crore in FY21. While Profit After Tax was 1,677 crore, up 24.5 percent from 1,347 crore the previous year.

Royal Enfield sold 595,474 motorcycles in fiscal year 2021-22, down 2.3 percent from 609,403 in fiscal year 2020-21.

The Chennai-based company recently announced the appointment of B Govindarajan. As Chief Executive Officer of Royal Enfield following the Board of Directors meeting. Govindarajan will now serve as CEO of Royal Enfield and a full-time director on the board of Eicher Motors Ltd.
