EPFO releases payroll data for Oct, 12.73 lakh net subscribers added

The gender-wise analysis showcases the net share of female enrollments during the month is 2.69 lakh.

EPFO (Employees Provident Fund organization) recently brought out its provisional payroll data on Monday, December 20. The official Twitter handle of EPFO posted the press release which highlighted the addition of 12.73 lakh net subscribers during the month of October 2021 recording an increase of 10.22% compared to the same month last year which was 11.55 lakhs.

The payroll data also outlined the enrollment of 7.54 new members under EPF and MP act 1952 for the first time. The data shows the addition of 4335 new net enrollments in the age group under 18, 250332 in the age group of 18-21, while the age group of 22-25 years registered the highest number of net enrollments with 336607. The age group of 26-28 had the addition of 186029 new enrollments, and the age group of 29-35 registered the addition of 264832 members.

State-wise comparison of payroll figures highlights that the establishments covered in the states of Maharashtra, Haryana, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka are in lead by adding approximately 7.72 lakh subscribers during the month, which is around 60.64 % of total net payroll addition across all age groups.
