The renowned business tycoon Ratan Tata has invested in a number of companies as well as startups. Let’s me make you put through a few companies backed by Tata.

Tata group chairman emeritus and one of the most celebrated names in the industry, Ratan Tata has invested in Mumbai-based Logistics Tech Startup Mailit, though the amount remains undisclosed, as per the reports of PTI.

Founder Mahesh Shirodkar believes that the investment made by Tata will pave the way to a wider prospect for the company.

“We intend to scale up the operations across geographies. With our state-of-the-art operations and trained professionals backed by the use of the most innovative technology available today, Mailit expects an upward trajectory from here on”, says Founder Shirodakar, as quoted by Inc42.

In addition to this, the renowned businessman Ratan Tata has also invested in a lot of start-ups. Let’s have a glance at the list once.

Tata has invested in Holachef, basically which is a food tech start-up founded by Saurabh Saxena and Anil Gelra.

Although, again, the amount is undisclosed. Also, the Tata group chairman invested in the start-up in September 2015.

Furthermore, marketing & analytics company Infinite Analytics has also been invested in by Ratan Tata in August 2015. Similarly, the amount remains unrevealed.

Lybrate is a US-based healthcare start-up founded by Saurabh Arora and Rahul Narang, who are also former professionals belonging to Facebook. Tata has also invested in Lybrate in July 2015 along with Tiger Global Management and Nexus Venture Partners. And the amount was 6.48 cr.

Again, we have another company that was backed by the business tycoon Ratan Tata. Ola, an online taxi aggregator, in which Tata has invested an unrevealed amount in July 2015.
