Fact Check: Sushant Singh Rajput’s dog Fudge passing away is fake news

A few days after the sudden demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, one of his friends posted pictures of Sushant’s fur buddy, Fudge, claiming that he was heart-broken by the owner’s absence. Later, it was found out that the whole story was nothing, but fake news and all the pictures being shared on social media are just rumours. The claim that days later even the actor’s dog Fudge passed away, because he stopped eating after his owner’s death is not true.

A source close to the actor has pointed out the fake news and mentioned that not only Fudge but all four of Sushant’s dogs are doing well at his Panvel house.

While the netizens were staring at the viral picture on the social media, showing Fudge lying on the couch beside a picture of Sushant, captioned that Sushant’s pet dog has passed away.

Sushant had previously posted a lot of pictures and videos of his fur-buddy Fudge on his social media handles with his fans, which is one of the reasons people felt so vulnerable when the fake net started taking rounds on the internet.

Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide on June 14 at his Mumbai residence. His funeral took place the next day on June 15 at Pawan Hans crematorium at Vile Parle in Mumbai, which was attended by his family, friends and few from the industry. His family also hosted a prayer meet in his honour at his ancestral home in Bihar.
