Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal released in theatres yesterday. Now, Neetu Kapoor wishes late Rishi Kapoor was here to see his son’s performance in the film. The veteran actress took to Instagram stories to share a picture of Ranbir Kapoor from Animal. In her caption, she wrote that she wished Rishi Kapoor was here. She wrote, “Wish rishiji was here.” She also added a golden star emoji. In the picture, Ranbir is seen sporting long hair with a beard. His hair is tied up halfway in a man bun. The actor has dark sunglasses on.

For the unversed, Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30, 2020, after a two-year-long battle with leukemia. Neetu Kapoor often shares lovely throwback pictures with Rishi Kapoor, remembering the special moments they shared in the past. 

The action thriller film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Tripti Dimrii, among others. Animal has been directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film portrays Ranbir as a violent man with a tumultuous relatiionship with his father. It will be released in theatres on December 1, 2023.

Previously, talking about the film’s long duration, Ranbir said, “We are releasing a film this long not because we feel arrogant about it. We feel that the story required that time to reach the audience in the best way possible. We have seen a cut of this film which was 3 hours and 49 minutes. And that cut was also entertaining.” Further, he added, “Sandeep has worked very hard to bring the length down. We are hoping that the audience doesn’t get panicked by the length and experience cinema as its best.”
