
Over violation of rules on hate speech, Twitter has removed the Queen actor Kangana Ranaut’s two tweets in the last two hours.
Twitter has stated, ‘the posts were in violation of rules on hate speech.’
“We have taken action on Tweets that were in violation of the Twitter Rules in line with our range of enforcement options,” Twitter said in the statement.
On Tuesday, Kangana Ranaut had attacked pop star, Rihanna with derogation over her recent post on the farmer protests at the Singhu border in Delhi. International singer, Rihanna also the founder of Fenty Beauty was called out a ‘fool’ by Indian actor.
She also tagged the farmer protesters as ‘terrorists’ and said they were trying to divide India.
This is not the first time that Twitter has taken such action over Kangana’s expressions.
The actor had faced a brief suspension on Twitter in the past when she called for the beheading of producers of a TV show which she had stated as ‘offensive to Hindus.’
Earlier this week, Twitter had suspended 250 accounts for spreading fake news. Since the US Capitol Violence, the microblogging site, as well as other social media platforms, have been actively monitoring and taking steps against rules violation of fanning fake news and hate speeches.
