
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s Ghanashyam Nayak, who is popularly known as Nattu Kaka in the longest run sitcom is currently undergoing cancer treatment.
He was diagnosed with cancer after spotting some unusual marks on his neck, post which he has been undergoing chemotherapy.
The actor is doing fine and is responding well to the treatment. He is eagerly waiting to resume the shooting of the long-run sitcom.
Speaking to a media channel, he said, “I am absolutely fine and healthy. There’s no such big issue. In fact, viewers will get to see me in an episode of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah tomorrow. It is a very special episode and I hope they will like my work again.
Speaking about his undergoing treatment, the veteran actor said, “”Yes, the treatment is on and I hope I will be all good. It’s fine and I am going through the treatment and after tomorrow’s episode, I hope the shoot soon resumes in Mumbai and I get back to work. I am eagerly waiting to get back to work. I go through chemotherapy and it happens once in a month. The doctor has told me I can work and there is no problem. I just want to spread positivity and tell everyone that I am doing fine.”
The veteran actor has always looked forward to his upcoming shoots and loves reuniting with the entire cast and crew. He is optimistic of living a 100 years and clears the air on the rumours about his ill-health saying that the news making the rounds in stale and he’s fit and fine.
