The actor-comedian also spoke about his struggles when he started as a newcomer, he said to Hindustan Times, “I didn’t have any connection to the entertainment world when I started. As the acting bug bit me I did theatre – mostly serious plays – but i also loved to make people laugh. Even today I feel mujhe itni comedy nahi ati. In the beginning maine bahut dhakke khaye, which is natural as a newbie has to learn the ways of profession. I have been disappointed so many times. Yes, there were times jab main bhi shows main replace hua hu and it hurts. It made me sad but i have learned to keep trying. Maybe those people felt that they could get someone commercially more viable. Luck matters here but yeh darindo ki industry nahi hai.”
Grover also told HT how eager he is to get back to shoots and that he will be seen in a comedy show soon. “I have a lot of work lined up including a film and a web series, and I thought I wont be in home at all this year. But God had other plans and things got postponed due to pandemic”.
The actor will be seen in a comedy show called Gangs of Filmistan where he will be performing and will also watch acts.
