Shark Tank India season 3 makes new revelations with each new episode. Every entrepreneur shares their innovative ideas which take the internet by storm. In the recent episode of Shark Tank, the entrepreneurs introduced a new and unique product that left every shark dumbstruck. The product was a solution to period pain relief.
The episode began with pitchers Roni Mondal and Rohan Roy introducing their product. They asked for Rs 60 lakhs for 4% equity. The product was a wearable, portable and rechargeable device that helped in reducing period pain. The founders even mentioned that it’s not just a device for them, but they are on a mission
The product fascinated all the sharks and they offered the pitchers the best offers. Reacting to their innovative idea, Shark Vineeta Singh said, “Literally apne jo create kiya hain, ye life-changing product hain.” She even mentioned that since today, there has been no relief from period pain.
Founder Rohan Roy shared his experience that IIT permitted them to build the prototype, but they weren’t allowed to use the labs. They were also short on money. Therefore, to raise funds they started selling bulbs while going to college. The bulbs were sold at Rs 25 each and a total of 50 bulbs were sold in a day. They continued this process for three months and collected around Rs 50-60 thousand. IIT Patna provided them with sustainable funds after the prototype was shown to the authorities.
Anupam Mittal also congratulated the couple for their brilliant idea. He stated, “Padman 2.0 kya maksad pakda hai aap logo ne.” Aman Gupta asks the pitchers to devise a strategic marketing plan that will help their product go viral. Vineeta Singh readies to make an offer on a D2C basis. She offers 60 lakhs for 6% equity.
While Namita Thapar decides to go for a solo investment. During that while, she is also reminded of a solo investment that she did in the previous season. She states it was the best investment of season 1 and season 2 put together. Namita offers 6% equity. While Anupam reduces his equity from 10% to 4%.
In the end, Roni and Rohan accept Nameeta’s offer. However, the pitchers also ask for Aman to join in. That’s how the sharks agree on the offer and they get the deal that they need.
