Sometimes we meet someone for a brief moment, yet they make an indelible effect on us. This is how Manvir Singh, Sidharth Shukla’s Broken But Beautiful 3 co-star, feels. In the series, he played his closest buddy Rishabh, and their friendship was endearing.

Broken But Beautiful 3 was his debut online series after his incredible success on Bigg Boss 13. Manvir adds “Honestly, I did not watch much of Bigg Boss but I knew that he was famous given how he trended on Twitter. But Sid loved to watch his memes and fan-made edits when he had the time. In fact, we would watch them together. After watching some of the edits, I checked out more videos on YouTube. There was nothing fake about Sidharth. What people saw in Bigg Boss 13 was what we saw. He was a private person, and very clued into his craft. His funda is clear you don’t mess with me, I won’t bother you. I guess it was his relatable and organic personality that made him a heartthrob.”

Manvir Singh recalls how Sidharth Shukla would teach him a variety of daily skills. He promised to tell him things and warn him about the difficulties that young performers face in the profession. Manvir, in memory of Sidharth says “It’s been a year since his untimely and heartbreaking death, yet his aura remains unrivalled.”

“He never liked to flaunt his friendships I guess this is why he endeared to millions, Sidharth never bothered to put on a show for people. The pretence was not his thing. He was like, I am what I am – take it or leave it,” He concluded
