In the latest episode of Bigg Boss 17, the show’s makers organized the first ‘parent-teacher’ meeting featuring the mothers of Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain on Weekend Ka Vaar. Both mothers expressed dismay over the couple’s public fights. Vicky Jain’s mother, seeing him in tears on TV, questioned how he went so wrong on the show despite being a responsible son. She also questioned Ankita Lokhande, calling her a sensible girl and wondering how things went awry between them.
In the promo, we see Vicky breaking down as soon as he sees his mother. Ankita is seen consoling him and telling her mother-in-law that she will take care of him. Hearing this, Vicky’s mother loses her calm on Ankita and says, “Nahi, tum bilkul dhyaan nahi rakh rahi ho Ankita. Dekho woh kitna roo raha hai. Tum chappal se maar rahi ho, laat maar rahi ho. Acha lagta hai ye sab?”
Vandana Phadnis, Ankita Lokhande’s mother, acknowledged that both Ankita and Vicky have made mistakes. She urged them to dedicate time for their relationship inside the house and engage in sincere conversations. Ankita’s mother expressed that while they are strong, they seem to have lost themselves and each other in the game.
Now, some fans have raised their concerns with the tone of Vicky’s mother, considering instances where Vicky’s behavior towards Ankita lacked respect, with accusations of gaslighting. They have bashed Ankita’s mother-in-law for being the ‘classic saas’. On a social media platform, one user wrote, “Ankita ki saas toh ekdum tv serial wali nikli,” while other wrote, “After looking at her mother-in-law, I strongly believe Ankita made a wrong choice.”
