Bigg Boss’s current season 16 is attracting all negative coverage because of Sajid Khan’s entry in the house as a participant. Amongst a lot of other women, Sona Mohapatra has been one of the celebrities for being vocal about evicting the 2018 #MeToo-accused Sajid Khan. The filmmaker is not the only one on her target. On Wednesday she took to twitter to bash the loving ‘bhaijaan’ of the country, Salman Khan for supporting and protecting Sajid Khan under the guise of their brotherhood.
Whitewashing his own toxic masculinity for eons with #BeingHuman despite being anything but; yes my old foe in twitter wars; #SalmanKhan . Continues the whitewashing in the BRO-HOOD. #SajidKhan . (Btw his gifting watches/food truck/surgeries is only more virtue signalling). 🤟🏾

Recently the DCW chief Swati Maliwal registered a complaint against those giving her rape threats in her DMs on Instagram. This came after Maliwal demanded Sajid Khan to be removed from the Bigg Boss house. Sona took this as another opportunity to support all the #MeToo affected women and tweeted reinforcing her motive.
That the DCW head @SwatiJaiHind is receiving rape threats shouldn’t surprise anyone. Normalising toxic masculinity & such #HERO ‘s in #POPCulture will encourage more such dangerous behaviour #India .Welcome to more violence & sexual harassment. #SajidKhan #SalmanKhan BHAI-HOOD. https://t.co/Av2DjFmVVX

Before accusing the host of Bigg Boss, Salman Khan, for ‘whitewashing’ Sajid Khan’s masculine toxicity, Sona had also called out Sajid’s cousin brother Farhan Akhtar for extending his support for Sajid Khan.
Of course,we still haven’t heard from the star voice for women causes in #Bollywood whose MARD claim’s to ‘instill gender values in young men’ & who was also shameless enough to become @unwomenindia Ambassador for South Asia (?!) ; Mr #FarhanAkhtar. #SajidKhan not young enough? https://t.co/nLtGyHzor8

For the unversed, Sajid Khan was at the receiving end of the #MeToo allegations in 2018, where several women had made sexual misconduct allegations against him. During the premiere of Bigg Boss season 16, Sajid had said, “I’ve sat at home for the last four years and wasn’t getting much work. So when I was invited by Colors, I felt that it’s time I should enter the house and learn more about myself.” Sajid even mentioned how he was blinded by his arrogance. However, there were no mention about the #MeToo allegations against him.
