Bigg Boss season 16 saw a changed pattern this time around during the Diwali ‘Weekend ka Vaar.’ Almost every season, there are no evictions that happen during Diwali from the Bigg Boss house, even after expected eliminations from that week’s nominations. But this time around, when Karan Johar took over as the host of the most controversial show of the country, replacing Salman Khan, one out of the three rather expected nominated Contestants was evicted from the house. The nominations of the week were Manya Singh and Sumbul Touqeer, who were unknowingly and unanimously nominated by all the housemates on the basis of least participating contestants. But yesterday’s episode of Bigg Boss 16’s extended Diwali ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’ showed us Manya Singh getting eliminated right before Diwali celebration in the house.

Manya was later seen mentioning in an interview how she felt about her eviction. She said, “It was unexpected but somewhere I was mentally ready. It is because the two contestants who were nominated with me [Shalin Bhanot and Sumbul Touqeer] were well-known faces. Audience-wise, I had fewer people who could support me. There were very few people in the pageant industry and only a few knew me through Bigg Boss 16. But as compared to their fans, I had no PR team and I was all alone. Somewhere I was expecting that if the eviction took place on the basis of voting, I would be out, no matter how I play.”

Further commenting on if she would want to re-enter Bigg Boss 16’s house as a wild card contestant, the evicted Manya Singh said, “Oh, yes! I feel like I was just starting out. In the third week, there was Manya. Even Bigg Boss agreed that I was not invisible in the house. I was very much there. Third-week mein main kahi na kahi aayi thi aur maine kaafi mudde lagaye the (I had raised a few issues). But if given an opportunity, I would like to go and kuch adhuri cheeze main puri karna chahungi (…would like to finish some unfinished business).”
