With many actresses in the biggest film industry of India, Bollywood, demanding one of the contestants of Bigg Boss season 16 — Sajid Khan, to be ousted from the house, a lot of actors are pulling along in an attempt to extend their support towards the women of the film industry who have accused the filmmaker of sexual abuse and sexual harassment.
Many actresses had come out and called out Sajid Khan in 2018 and joined the #MeToo movement against sexual exploitation of women from men. In the recent past, Sherlyn Chopra, Uorfi Javed and many more actresses have demanded Sajid Khan be removed from the house. The pressure led DCW (Delhi Commission of Women) to intervene and seek the infamous filmmaker’s eviction from the Bigg Boss house from I&B ministry. But in response, the FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) sent another statement clarifying that the filmmaker received his due as he was banned for a year from the industry. It also added that the ban of one year was uplifted and requested the Ministry to let him work to earn his livelihood.
Now social media saw recently married actor Ali Fazal posting a story on his Instagram account which had a graphically made lighter held by a woman’s hand that has a tattoo on her wrist that reads #MeToo. And the lighter is burning an image of Sajid Khan. Ali Fazal’s story read, “Evict Sajid Khan from Bigg Boss Now.”
