Bigg Boss 14: Nishant Malkani opens about his struggle on big screen, says ‘I was foolish and immature, but learnt my lessons’

Before entering the Bigg Boss 14 house actor Nishant Singh Malkani shared his regrets and mistakes he made while working in the industry.

Nishant Singh Malkani, who rose to fame through famous daily soap Guddan-Tumse Na Ho Payega, hit the screens in 2018. His role as Akshat Jindal was applauded, however he recently made an exit from the show as he signed in for the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 14.

Nishant became a popular name in Indian television with his very first daily serial Ram Milaayi Jodi, he earned a huge recognition and love from the viewers for the same. Within a small span of time the serial became very popular and was doing good on TRP chart. Although, Nishant soon left that serial and stepped into Bollywood industry.

Before entering the Bigg Boss14  house, the now contestant Nishant Singh Malkani gave an interview to Pinkvilla, in which the actor opened up on the mistakes he made in his career. For almost 5 years, the actor completely disappeared from the limelight. In the interview, the actor revealed about that difficult phase of his life and how he was successful in overcoming it.

Nishant regrets leaving the show so soon and stepping into big screen industry without having in-depth idea about it. After getting so much love on television he thought that he would receive the same on big screen and he let his over confidence take over which resulted in an immature decision. He said, “I thought that if I am getting so much attention then why I am passing my time on television, why I am not doing something huge on big screen.” He calls his decision of fighting with producers and channel to leave the show foolish and a mistake. He said, “ I got an offer from films and decided to take break from the show, after having a lot of fight with the channel and producer which was wrong of me because it was unfair towards the channel and producer but I was immature and foolish, and learnt my lesson”.

Within these five years, he did 1-2 movies every year, but couldn’t earn recognition for his works. He considers working with new banners a ‘mistake’. The banners he worked with didn’t have good promotions or reach. “I didn’t have much idea that instead of working with new banners, I should have worked with established banners. I just kept on saying yes to every next script I liked. I didn’t have business sense that established banners have more reach.” He was frustrated with not getting recognition and appreciation for his works. He then took a break for two years from the industry and did diploma in acting. “Those diploma courses taught me the techniques of acting.”
