Bigg Boss 14: Abhinav Shukla teaches Nishant Malkani about pigeons, mosquitoes and rats

Bigg Boss 14 contestant Abhinav Shukla, on noticing the number of pigeons around the house reveals how pigeons and rats live in a symbiotic relationship with each other.

Bigg Boss 14 contestant Abhinav Shukla really seems to be in awe of animals and of mother nature that surrounds us. In an Extra Masala episode of Bigg Boss 14, Abhinav shares his knowledge with Nishant Singh Malkani on pigeons, rats and mosquitoes and how they live in a symbiotic relationship with each other.

Abhinav shares an incident of the time when he went trail biking in Canada. He expresses his agony over the number of mosquitoes that bit him, irrespective of wearing a suit that claimed to protect a person from mosquito bites. He then further shares that it was then, that he realised how powerful these mosquito stings are. He realised that in Canada townships, there were hardly any mosquitoes around but as soon as he entered the dense forest, he was attacked by 30-40 mosquitoes at once.

He further imparts his knowledge about rats that kitchen and restaurant floors are their breeding ground, similarly stagnant waters are a breeding ground for mosquitoes.

The actor further informs Nishant about the kind of Pigeons that surround them. He shares that these are “jungly Rock pigeon”(wild rock pigeon) and they like to build houses in between two walls or two bricks. These places are comfortable for them to breed. This is also the reason why pigeons co-exist with humans comfortably.

Just like we humans need four walls and a shelter to cover our heads, these pigeon’s need walls to cover themselves. Everybody needs a home to live in. And it is most important that we learn to co-exist in the society. Abhinav seems quite close to mother nature and definitely knows how to co-exist.
