Actor Sonam Kapoor, who is celebrating her 39th birthday today, shared a glimpse of the special gift she received from her husband, Anand Ahuja, and details of her intimate birthday celebrations.
A Thoughtful Birthday Present
Sonam Kapoor took to her Instagram Stories on Sunday to showcase the unique gift from her loving husband. Anand Ahuja gifted her a first edition of Rabindranath Tagore’s “Gitanjali,” translated into English, one of the most cherished books in Indian literature.
Sharing a picture of the book, Sonam captioned it, “Birthday present by my amazing husband…first edition Gitanjali by Tagore translated in English. Thank you @anandahuja I don’t know what I did to deserve you.” In another story, she is seen posing with the book, offering a glimpse of the first few pages.
Celebrating Love and Life
Sonam and Anand tied the knot on May 8, 2018, in a beautiful traditional Anand Karaj ceremony. Their love story has been an inspiring journey, marked by mutual respect and deep affection. In March 2022, the couple announced they were expecting their first child.
Their son, Vayu, was born later that year, and Sonam and Anand shared his name with their followers on Instagram, asking for blessings for their new family member.

On the professional front, Sonam Kapoor was last seen in the 2023 crime thriller film “Blind.” Fans are excited as she gears up to start shooting for her next movie, “Battle for Bittora,” later this year.
Sonam married her long-time beau Anand in a traditional wedding in Mumbai in 2018. The couple, along with their son, Vayu, lives in a swanky apartment at Notting Hill, London.
In a past interview with Filmfare, the actress revealed that she initially had no interest in marriage or relationships. It was only through the gentle nudging of her friends that she found herself on a date with Anand’s best friend. “My friends were trying to set me up with Anand’s best friend. That’s how I met him. The first time I met Anand was while I was busy with the promotions of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015). One evening my friends conned me into visiting a bar at the Taj. I went there quite irritated,” she said.
