Rhea Chakraborty has been in news ever since Sushant Singh Rajput’s father filed an FIR against her, for cheating and harassing his son as well as abetting his suicide. Defending herself in the matter, Chakraborty issued a video statement on Friday.
The ‘Jalebi’ actress mentioned that despite everything being said about her in the media, she has complete faith in God and hopes to get justice.
“I have immense faith in God and the judiciary. I believe that I will get justice. Even though a lot of horrible things are being said about me in the electronic media, I refrain from commenting on the advice of my lawyers, as the matter is sub-judice. Satyamev Jayate! The truth shall prevail,” she stated in the video.
This video came after the news that Supreme Court may hear Rhea’s plea, in the matter of transferring Sushant’s case from Bihar to Mumbai, on August 5.
It is to note that Sushant’s father KK Singh has filed a caveat in the apex court, to oppose Rhea’s request.
Meanwhile, Enforcement Directorate has also registered a money laundering case after receiving a copy of FIR filed by Sushant’s family. KK Singh has accused Rhea, family and close associates for forcibly keeping Sushant’s medical reports in her custody and threatening him about leaving everything in the media to prove him mad. This led him to take his own life.
The ‘Kai Po Che’ actor was found hanging in his Bandra home on June 14. He was 34.
