
Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava is creating waves at the box office and continues to achievement milestone by becoming the 9th biggest hit in the history of Hindi cinema. The film has amassed an impressive Rs. 386.25 crore in India net in just 13 days surpassing several major blockbusters, like Aamir Khan’s Dangal, which collected around Rs. 375 crore, Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju, which earned Rs. 343 crore, Aamir’s PK, which minted Rs. 340 crore, and Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai, which collected Rs. 339 crore.
It must be noted that since there are no major releases for the upcoming two weeks, Chhaava is expected to clinch closer to Rs. 400 crore club. With that, the film can challenge other films like Yash’s KGF Chapter 2, which earned Rs. 435 crore in Hindi and Ranbir’s Animal, which earned Rs. 503 crore.
Chhaava features Vicky in the lead role playing the role of Maratha warrior king, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaji, who was the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of Maratha Empire. The film is based on his true life event, and also features Rashmika Mandanna as Maharani Yesubai and Akshaye Khanna as Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Apart from them, the film also features Ashutosh Rana.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Vicky is working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, which shall also feature Ranbir and Alia Bhatt.
