Hathras Gang rape Case was a gut-wrenching incident. 4 men of the Thakur clan of that village assaulted a 19 year old girl. When the news of the incident made it to the headlines, an uproar started on social media. From celebrities to other citizens of India, everyone in their own way protested against the barbaric crime.
Celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Kangana Ranaut, Richa Chadha, Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anushka Sharma, Kriti Sanon and several others protested against the same.
Anushka Sharma recently took to social media and penned down a story, which says “Barely any time has passed and we are hearing of another brutal rape!?! In which world do such monsters think they can do this to a young life. This is beyond comprehension,so distressing! Is there any fear in the minds of such men? How do we as a society put fear in them and protect our woman? #NoMercyForRapists #Balrampur”

Kareena Kapoor too shared on her Instagram story, originally posted by Faye DSouza which read: “A 22-year-old Dalit college student was raped and brutalized in Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh today, she died of her injuries. Local media has reported that both the woman’s legs and spine were broken after the rape and the accused sent her back home in a rickshaw in an unconscious state. As the family tried to rush the victim to the hospital, she succumbed to her injuries. According to the girl’s mother, she was unable to speak when she came back home and could only manage to say, ” I am in a lot of pain, I won’t survive. ”
To which, Kareena added ” Not just another rape, not just another number…The abuse of women needs help #BalrampurHorror

Sussanne Khan took to her Instagram to plea justice for the victim. “It’s heartbreaking, sickening and repulsive to hear about 19-year-old Manisha Valmiki, from Uttar Pradesh Hathras gang rape case, a shocking incident, of this innocent 10-year-old Dalit woman, the Hathras rape victim who was gang-raped by 4 men in Uttar Pradesh on September 14, passed away on Tuesday morning at a hospital in Delhi. The victim was struggling for her life under the ventilator in an Aligarh hospital for around 3 day. Later, she was referred to Safdarjung, Delhi on Monday. However, the conditions of Hathras rape victim failed to improve and hence she succumbed to the injuries…Aren’t these sick misogynistic men scarier monsters to fear that Covid-19…!
