Filmmaker SS Rajamouli says he strives upon to achieve the perfectionism in his films. Even though the director believes that nothing can be perfect in life. The filmmaker who recently delivered the block buster with his period film titled as RRR, has said he has certain shortcomings as a filmmaker that he often encounters during the shooting of a movie.
The director said, “People term me as a perfectionist because I take so much time (to make a film) but I am far from it. I would like everything to be perfect. You can get closer to perfect but nothing can ever be perfect.” The director spoke during the session which was held on Friday along with veteran actor Anupam Kher, during the Times Network Leadership Summit, which was hosted at the ongoing Goa Fest 2022. The director who has a string of hits such as ‘Magadheera’, ‘Eega’ and two “Baahubali”, movies to his credits recalls that how back in 2001 he got his first break as a director with Telugu movie ‘Student No 1’. The director said, “For example, when I made my first film ‘Student No 1’, I did not know how to use a crane. Likewise, I still don’t know what shot exactly gives me what I need.” The director also mentioned that, there are so many things during shooting which leaves him indecisive.
