The digital launch date of superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film “Jailer” has been planned for September 7 on Prime Video. “Jailer” is a Sun Pictures production directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and starring Rajinikanth in the lead role.

The cast also includes Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vinayakan, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Master Ritvik. Malayalam icon Mohanlal, Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar, and Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff all make appearances in the film.

Tiger Muthuvel Pandiyan (Rajinikanth) is a former jailer who embarks on a manhunt to identify his son’s killers. Muthuvel’s determination is tested as he navigates the shadows of his son’s world, leading him down a complex and familiar route, according to the official synopsis.

“‘Jailer’ is extremely special to me; I had Rajinikanth sir to elevate the story with his signature acting style, and had superstars from the Indian film industry – Mohanlal sir, Shiva Rajkumar sir, and Jackie Shroff sir – to add their magical touch to this mass entertainer. On August 10, the film “Jailer” was released in theatres. Following its digital release, Prime subscribers in India and over 240 countries and territories around the world will be able to watch the action film in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
