Redefined: J.R. Smith, a four-part docuseries by UNINTERRUPTED that follows the retired NBA player J.R. Smith on his journey to pursue a college education and a new athletic passion as a member of the Men’s Golf Team at North Carolina A&T, has received an official premiere date from Prime Video Sports.

Smith was without a team to play for after entering the NBA at 19 and winning two championships with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers. He decides to seek a college degree in his search for a new path in life, rediscovering his love of athletics as a student-athlete at the largest historically Black university in the country.

“I’m not doing this to prove nobody else wrong… I’m really proving to myself that I can do it.” The official trailer for Philip Knowlton’s fascinating new sports documentary series Redefined: J.R. Smith has been released by Amazon. This documentary is about J.R. Smith, a two-time NBA champion who switched to golf after receiving “a lot of ink” for doing so.
