Kapil Sharma’s most anticipated show, ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show,’ began on March 30. The first episode featured the Kapoor family, including Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, and Ridhima Kapoor Sahni.
After Netflix released its 2024 schedule, fans excitedly awaited the arrival of Kapil Sharma’s revised comedy show, “The Great Indian Kapil Show.” The news of Kapil Sharma’s reunion with Sunil Grover, as well as the debut episode featuring the Kapoor family, fueled the enthusiasm.
However, viewers observed the absence of Bollywood starlet Alia Bhatt along with her husband Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni’s latest episode.
According to a Times Now article, Alia was approached for the show but was unable to go owing to budgetary constraints.
Netflix apparently failed to match Alia Bhatt’s pay demands, resulting in her absence from the episode. According to insiders, the streamer sets a budget for each episode and cannot exceed it. As a result, when the producers couldn’t cover Bhatt’s fees, she declined to appear on the show.
It appears that celebrities will now be paid to appear on The Great Indian Kapil Show. Previously, numerous guests appeared on the show for free to promote their projects, which were first aired on Sony TV as ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ and ‘The Kapil Sharma Show,’ which aired on Colors.
Alia Bhatt, like her co-stars, has appeared on “The Kapil Sharma Show” multiple times to promote their projects.
