The Great Indian Kapil Show: Netflix announces comedy show which stars Kapil Sharma, Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek and Kiku Sharda – Trailer Out Now!!

The exciting guest line-up includes Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Rohit Sharma, Shreyas Iyer, Parineeti Chopra, Ed Sheeran, and Diljit Dosanjh.

Kapil Sharma is scheduled to return with a new sketch comedy series on Netflix, according to the streaming platform’s first trailer, which was released a week before its premiere.

The format, titled The Great Indian Kapil Show, appears to be similar to its predecessor, with celebrity interviews interspersed with a mix of sketches. Notably, the show marks the expected reunion of Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover, who parted ways in 2017 after rumours of a feud originating from an argument on a trip from Australia.

The trailer teases viewers with glimpses of prominent visitors like Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Ed Sheeran, Diljit Dosanjh, Rohit Sharma and his wife Ritika Sajdeh, and Shreyas Iyer. In contrast to earlier editions, the guest appearances are unrelated to their planned projects.

The video includes a special scene in which Kapil and Sunil confront their past quarrel in a lighthearted manner, marking their first on-screen collaboration since the event. Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, and Archana Puran Singh, who played the same characters on television, will join them.

The Great Indian Kapil Show will be released weekly on Netflix, with a new episode available every Saturday. Kapil Sharma has been a staple on the comedy scene since the debut of Comedy Nights with Kapil in 2013. His entrance into Netflix began in 2022 with a stand-up special titled I’m Not Done Yet, fueling talk about a possible move to the streaming site for his weekly show, which was formally confirmed in 2023.

Sunil Grover expressed his joy at reuniting with Kapil, likening it to a ‘homecoming’ and stating, “The Great Indian Kapil Show feels like a homecoming. We just picked up from where we left off. The trailer is just a small glimpse of the madness and fun we’ve had on the show. Our Indian fans are like family, and this time, we’ll reach a worldwide audience, thanks to Netflix.”
