S.W.A.T. Season 8: Check out release date, cast and more

The 7th season of CBS’s hit action procedural series S.W.A.T. was set to end, but the network decided to continue it for another season. The series premiered in 2017 and features Shemar Moore as Sgt. Hondo who is torn between protecting people in his community and serving in the LAPD. S.W.A.T., based on the 1970s series of the same name, separates itself from other procedurals by increasing the level of action from season to season. So when will S.W.A.T. season 8 be released? The 8th season of S.W.A.T. will debut on October 18, 2024, according to CBS. The show will run on Fridays from 8 to 9 p.m. The show’s 22-episode season will return for the final season, replacing the seventh season’s 13-episode format.

What to expect in S.W.A.T. season 8

Following the events of the last finale, Season 8 will be focused on Hondo mending community relations and strengthening his team’s roster. Jay Harrington’s character Deacon will appear in the last season and won’t be quitting. A female team member is among the new characters who will be introduced in the upcoming season.
