Radio City and Mid Day recently organised the fourth season of Hitlist OTT Awards and web series Mukhbir: The Story of a Spy was awarded in the best Web Series and Best Adaptation category.
The eight-episode series is a true inspiring story of India’s secret agent in Pakistan who rose to the occasion to save the nation.
Elated on being honoured, director of the show Shivam Nair, director, said, “An award always gives one the faith that as a maker one is on the right track , and the audiences have accepted the story that the maker has created.”
Nair gave all the credit of this success to “really my wonderful team and the platform guys who backed us all the way and gave me the freedom to put my vision in the best way possible.”
Karan B Oberoi, story and screenplay writer, creative producer as well as the actor on the project, is finding it hard to contain the excitement after winning the very first award the team was nominated for. “We have won in both the categories. It’s a fantastic validation and encouragement for me personally as well as a writer-creative producer ! Couldn’t have imagined my first innings in both the fields giving me such rich rewords. I can’t thank my whole team enough for putting up such a stellar show,” says Oberoi.
He goes on, “And especially so , Shivam sir who has been a mentor to me all my life ! His love , support and encouragement have kept me going all these years.”
Adil Hussain, credits sincerity, honesty and tremendous hard work for the big victory. “It probably always pays off. I am thrilled that the Team Mukhbir has won two Midday Hit List OTT awards. The show starrered Zain Khan Durrani as the main lead. His potrayal of Harfan Bhukhari was not only appreciated by the audience but thr critics. Talking about the show being felicitated, he said, “It’s heartening to know our show has not only received eyeballs but also seeped into the hearts of fans who have such a variety of content to choose from.
