Jawan has broken all box office records, becoming the first film in Indian cinema history to gross more than Rs 200 crore in just three days.
As fans continue to enjoy the film in theatres, we learn that the OTT rights to Jawan have already been sold, and for an astounding sum.
Jawan was launched in theatres on September 7, 2023, on the auspicious day of Janmashtami, and it appeared to be a success for the producers, as the film earned Rs 300 crore in just five days.
And, according to rumours, Jawan’s producers have already secured a deal with an OTT giant to screen the movie.
According to reports, Netflix purchased Jawan’s rights for a hefty Rs 250 crore.
The makers have yet to announce an official streaming date for Jawan, but considering the film’s success in theatres, fans will undoubtedly have to wait a long time before they can see it in the comfort of their own homes.
Jawan is Shah Rukh Khan’s debut collaboration with south filmmaker Atlee, and it is produced by Gauri Khan under their Red Chillies label.
The chemistry between SRK and Nayanthara in Jawan has become the buzz of the town, while Vijay Sethupathi is gaining hearts as the film’s nasty antagonist. Jawan also stars Ridhi Dogra, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Lehar Khan, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Sunil Grover, and Mukesh Chhabra, in addition to Deepika Padukone.
