The popular Scottish actor Richard Madden has been a global sensation through his epic roles in the film Industry. The actor rose to stardom through the classic ‘Game of Thrones’ series. He performed in the show as the character Robb Stark for three years. The actor will now be appearing on Amazon Prime’s Citadel web series along with Priyanka Chopra. The show is scheduled to release on the 28th of April 2023.
In a recent interview with Indian Express, Richard said, “It was an exciting opportunity for me to engage with 30 hours’ worth of TV. As an actor, to take a character and play it over five years, was a new thing for me. Then to take six months away from it and to watch it back and then go back to the storytelling again, as an artist that was a fascinating process for me. To take these breaks between seasons and to think, ‘What can I bring to the character now that will surprise people?’ But I am under pressure all the time, it never ends! I think that’s what keeps me on my toes.”
Citadel is an upcoming action thriller series starring Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden in lead roles. The show is created by David Well. The series is about a spy agency Citadel that has collapsed and the fellow agents’ memories have been brushed off. But as the strong group Manticore is destroying humanity, the agents will have to restore their memories and gain the strength to fight back.
Richard also shared his experience of working in the show. The actor said, “Citadel is a great challenge for me, to play two characters in the same body. It is something I wanted to explore and play with and Citadel gave me that opportunity to do that. I had to keep up with what was asked of me, be loyal to the storytelling, in this case, a huge amount of talent and creatives that have so much into the show. It is a beautiful evolution for me.”
