Deborah Ayorinde reprises her role as LAPD investigator Dawn Reeve in Season 2. The series, set in 1991, follows a homicide detective tasked with solving a peculiar murder case. As she learns more about the case, she becomes involved in a network of otherworldly occurrences. The teaser teases these components, with Dawn having a terrifying nightmare and sensing the presence of a malicious entity.

As Dawn battles her own demons, finding a lead becomes increasingly difficult. The question is whether she will be able to overcome her troubles and solve the murder mystery, or if she will be overtaken by it and commit suicide. The series’ creators hope for a better response this season after receiving mixed feedback from the fans.

The series stars Deborah as Dawn, Pam Grier as Athena, Joshua J Williams as Kelvin Reeve, Luke James as Edmund Gaines, Jeremy Bobb as Detective Ronald McKinney, Wayne Knight as Lieutenant Schiff, Charles Brice as Reggie Marks, Carlito Olivero as Joaquin Diaz, and Iman Shumpert as Corey.

Dominic Orlando and Michael Nelson Little Marvin produce Them: The Scare Season 2 alongside David Matthews, Miri Yoon, Roy Lee, Lena Waithe, Don Kurt, Nelson Cragg, and Larysa Kondracki for Sony Pictures Television, Amazon MGM Studios, Odd Man Out, and Hilman Grad.
