Eijaz Khan on ‘Bigg Boss 15’ going digital: It is a sensible thing to do

Bigg Boss 14 contestant, Eijaz Khan said that it was a sensible thing to release Bigg Boss 15 digitally.

Actor Eijaz Khan expressed his views on Bigg Boss 15 releasing digitally. He was a contestant of Bigg Boss 14 and found his lady love, Pavitra Punia on the show. In an interview, Eijaz told IANS, “I think it is a sensible thing to do. Everyone’s on it.”

Further, he talked about social media’s influence and said, “When I went for Eid celebrations to my brother’s place yesterday (Thursday) for a bit, there was a social media table at the dining table. There were six people sitting on their phones seeing what they wanted to see and gathering information about something and the OTT platforms make it more personal.”

The actor, added, “You do not go on a community television at home and see a show… It’s not like that anymore. So, it (OTT) is personal and everything has to move. A show like Bigg Boss which sometimes has mature content should come on OTT and it is a good thing.”

The first promo of Bigg Boss 15 was unveiled on the occasion of Eid. The show will make its digital premiere on August 8 on Voot.

Meanwhile, Eijaz Khan is gearing up for his upcoming web series, ‘City of Dreams Season 2’. Directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, the series also stars Atul Kulkarni, Priya Bapat, and Sachin Pilgaonkar. It is scheduled to release on Disney+Hostar on July 30.
