Dulquer Salmaan’s latest action-thriller film, directed by Abhilash Joshiy, is set for OTT release 30 days after its theatrical run.
Though King of Kotha did not set the box office on fire as planned, it did gross over Rs 40 crore at the global box office. The digital rights to the picture were also sold for a record figure.
According to previous rumours, Dulquer’s pan-Indian film would be available on Disney Plus on September 22. Disney Plus Hotstar has notified Asianet News Online that the film’s OTT streaming will not be available on September 22, but rather on September 28 or 29. The official date has yet to be determined.
Abhilash Joshiy directed Dulquer’s King of Kotha. Abhilash N. Chandran wrote the screenplay for this film. Nimish Ravi handled the cinematography. Jakes Bijoy and Shaan Rahman wrote the soundtrack.
Aishwarya Lakshmi, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Prasanna, Gokul Suresh, Shammi Thilakan, Shanthi Krishna, and Anikha Surendran co-star with Dulquer Salmaan. With Nimish Ravi behind the camera and Shaan Rahman composing the score, “King of Kotha” provides a holistic cinematic experience.
The film King of Kotha is about Kannan, a criminal who rules over the crime-ridden town of Kotha. After being humiliated by Kannan and his men, police officer Shahul Haasan arranges for the return of a former criminal named Kotha Rajendran, aka “Raju” (Dulquer Salmaan), resulting in a dramatic turn of events.
On the first day of its release, the film King of Kotha was leaked on Tamilrockers, Telegram, and other pirate websites. The recent releases were leaked on piracy websites such as Tamilrockers, Telegram, and Movierulz. However, this is not the first time a film has been leaked on its first day of release.
