Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden starrer much talked about ‘Citadel’ is likely not to be back on screen with a sequel. The Russo brothers created series has received an average response from the fans and the critics. After ‘Lord of Rings’ , ‘Citadel’ has become Amazon Prime’s debut till date with 25 million viewers. But even after such impressing numbers the series wasn’t able to create a sting fanbase with is unexpected to some extent.
Earlier the makers were already in talks for the renewal of the series with ‘Citadel 2’. But keeping the present circumstances in mind it seems difficult to expect for a renewal of Citadel in near future. The Executive Producer of the series has informed that there hasn’t been any official confirmation yet regarding the series’s second season.
As per a report in Forbes says that, Citadel have got a good viewership and has reached the top spot on Prime but the reason behind this was majorly a scarcity for Prime Originals which made Citadel on trend.
After the English version currently Citadel is heading for an Italian Chapter after which the Indian Chapter of the series starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be streamed on Amazon Prime.
