Indian tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes have gained a lot of name because of their game. Now their professional life will come on screen with series ‘Break Point’. The show will address the personal and professional life of both of them. The first look of this series, directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh Tiwari, has been disclosed on Friday.
Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes have posted the poster of the series ‘Break Point’ on their Instagram accounts. With the same caption saying, ‘We put Indian tennis on the map but walked away when we had the world at our feet. It’s time to finally hear the untold story of Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes’.
Speaking about ‘Break Point’, Leander Paes said, ‘While shooting for Break Point, I relished the nostalgia. Mahesh and my on-court partnership was widely covered and our off-court chemistry was highly anticipated. This is the first time our fans will get to see and hear all this.’
Mahesh Bhupathi told, “I am hesitant when it comes to communicating, so it is a big step to re-live the journey and present it in the most candid and honest way possible. But, at the same time, I am glad that our fans will get to witness our journey which was a combination of sweat, perseverance, brotherhood and sometimes blood and tears’.
Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes were one of the best doubles pairings of the late 1990s. In the year 1999, their pair was ranked number 1 in the world. However, the series ‘Break Point’ was announced last month. This is the first time when Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh Tiwari have come together. Apparently, the release date of the web series has not been announced.
