Amazon’s Tandav season 2 gets axed; Netflix’s Bombay Begums gets a nod

There will be no Season 2 for Tandav because of its religious and political mocking content while Netflix’s Bombay Begums will get a season 2.

A sad news for Tandav fans as the web series will not get a season 2 as it hurts religious sentiments and mocks the poltics of the country. Meanwhile, Bombay Begums gets a nod for season 2.

After the guideline being more strict than before, Saif Ali Khan starrer political drama grabbed a lot of controversy from its first season. An OTT producer shared: “None at all, good or bad. We are henceforth going to black out all references to politics and religion.”

And since Tandav is a political drama, there will be no season two. On the other hand, Netflix’s Bombay Begums, which has been receiving some criticism as well has been given a nod for a second season.

According to Bollywood Hungama, All upcoming series and films are being “toothcombed by experts” to ensure that no religious or political sentiments are hurt.
