In recent developments, actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, along with his family members, has been cleared of molestation allegations leveled against them by his estranged wife. This conclusion marks the end of a tumultuous legal battle that has garnered significant media attention and public scrutiny.
The allegations arose amidst a contentious divorce proceeding between Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his estranged wife, Aaliya Siddiqui. Throughout the legal process, Nawazuddin and his family consistently maintained their innocence, vehemently denying the accusations.
The granting of a clean chit signifies that authorities have found no evidence to substantiate the claims made by Nawazuddin’s estranged wife. This outcome brings relief to Nawazuddin and his family, who have endured public scrutiny and speculation during the investigation.
For Nawazuddin Siddiqui, celebrated for his versatile performances and critically acclaimed roles in films, the conclusion of this legal ordeal offers a sense of vindication.
The allegations date back nearly a decade, when Aaliya filed a molestation case against Nawazuddin and four other family members at the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) court in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar. Allegedly, Siddiqui’s brother Minazuddin was accused of molestation, with others purportedly supporting him, as stated in the FIR.
After extensive investigation, the police submitted a final report last year, exonerating the actor and his family from the allegations. Subsequently, Judge Ritesh Sachdeva summoned the complainant to respond to the investigative report before the POCSO court.
Despite numerous opportunities and notices, the complainant failed to appear in court. Consequently, the court accepted the police report, clearing Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his four family members of any wrongdoing.
Nearly three weeks ago, Aaliya took to social media and dropped a sweet video wishing Nawazuddin Siddiqui on their 14th wedding anniversary. The post features adorable family photos of Aaliya and Nawazuddin with their two kids. Sharing the video, she penned, “Celebrating 14 years of wedded bliss with my one and only. Anniversary cheers.”
