Weeknd’s new song ‘Double Fantasy’ featuring Future, grows to 10th position on Spotify

The Starboy Weeknd released his new single ‘Double Fantasy’ which will be premiered in the HBO series, The Idol. The track also features the musician ‘Future’ who has also collaborated with Weeknd for previous songs such as ‘Low Life,’ Drink on Us,’ and ‘Comin’ Out Strong.’

Weeknd initially performed the song at the first weekend of the Coachella festival. The song has become an incredible hit with over 3.41 streams on Spotify and rose to 10th position to #10 on Global Spotify. The track has earned tremendous appreciation from fans for its stunning melody and lyrics.

When asked about the latest song, Weeknd said, “I’ve been inspired by The Wall and Purple Rain and when Bowie was doing it”, he said “But even films like Shaft,  where the musically telling the story of the film. But I want to take it to the next level. I want to challenge myself and I feel like, as a musician, I’m the best I’ve ever been.”

The Weeknd aka Abel Makkonen Tesfaye is a Canadian singer and songwriter. He is a multinational sensation for his classic songs and had achieved various awards such as four Grammy Awards, twenty Billboard Music Awards, twenty-two Juno Awards, six American Music Awards and two MTV Video Music Awards.

He serves songs ranging from different genres known as R&B, Pop, Hip Hop, alternative R&B and new wave. Weeknd started his singing career by uploading songs on Youtube in 2009 and rose to popularity after two years when he released the mixtapes ‘House of Ballons,’ ‘Thursday’ and ‘Echoes of Silence.’
