The Dalai Lama’s first album ‘Inner World’ is all set to release in July

If you were in a lookout for a motivational playlist which can teach you the beautiful Tibetan chants along with some soothing, soulful music which can give you utter calm and relaxation, then your search is over as the Dalai Lama’s ‘Inner World’, is set to release on 6th July,’20 on his 85th birthday.

Inner World by Dalai Lama consists of spiritual teachings of the Tibetan and incantations paired with music performed on over 30 instruments. This project is the brainchild of a banker from New Zealand, Junelle Kunin, who was initially turned down by Dalai Lama about her musical venture. Then some years ago, on her trip to India, she met with the Dalai Lama and recorded the conversation with the spiritual leader for the Inner World.

This album comes along with a booklet and includes topics like wisdom, courage, healing, children along with a recitation of seven mantras of Buddhism by the Dalai Lama himself.

One of the tracks from the album ‘Compassion’ was released on Tuesday, 8th June and comprises one of the most famous Buddhist prayers.

Anoushka Shankar, Grammy-nominated sitar player, mark a special guest appearance in a song titled ‘Ama la’ dedicated to mothers.

Net proceeds from the sales of the album Inner World will benefit the Mind & Life Institute as well as Social, Emotional and Ethical Learning, an international education program the Dalai Lama developed with Emory University.
