MetLife Stadium has seen a surge in attendance in the last three days. Swift’s current tour has sparked extraordinary demand, with fans and bots overwhelming Ticketmaster when they first went on sale. The MetLife gigs on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are all sold out, with resale tickets fetching thousands of dollars.

Taylor Swift fans’ excitement about seeing their favourite singer performed live after a long layoff since 2018 has reached fever pitch. However, with only 52 concerts scheduled in big football stadiums, demand significantly outnumbers supply. Approximately 14 million people attempted to purchase tickets through Ticketmaster, but the vast majority were unsuccessful.

The concert even caused heavy traffic on the roads near MetLife stadium. The New Jersey Department of Transportation urged drivers to expect heavy traffic on their trip to East Rutherford, highlighting roads 3, 17, and 120, which surround the Meadowlands. When you combine the performance with Memorial Day weekend, it’s going to be a nightmare on New Jersey’s highways.
