Lady Gaga kick started Joe Biden‘s inauguration ceremony by singing classic rendition of US National Anthem. Following the swearing-in of Kamala Harris as Vice President, Jennifer Lopez sang a medly of ‘This Land Is Your Land’ and ‘America Is Beautiful,’ to which added a line of Spanish: “Siempre con libertad y justicia para todos” (Liberty and justice for all, always).
Lady Gaga tweeted earlier today, “My intention is to acknowledge our past, be healing for our present, and passionate for a future where we work together lovingly.” She added, “I will sing to the hearts of all people who live on this land.”
A virtual parade is scheduled for today and Another inauguration event featuring Bruce Springsteen, Foo Fighters, Justin Timberlake and Ant Clemons, and more will take place tonight.
