Munawar Faruqui finally reacts to his second marriage to Mehzabeen Coatwal

Stand-up comedian and Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui has finally addressed his second marriage to makeup artist Mehzabeen Coatwal. Making his first public appearance in Mumbai since tying the knot, Munawar officially acknowledged his new relationship status when congratulated by photographers.

Several videos of Munawar from this outing have surfaced online, capturing the comedian leaving a building and interacting with the paparazzi. When the photographers congratulated him on starting this new chapter of his life, Munawar, visibly blushing, humbly responded with a “Thank you.” Although he didn’t delve into the details of his marriage, this marked the first time he publicly addressed his relationship with Mehzabeen.

The video has been well-received on social media, with users expressing their admiration and affection. Comments like “Munawar respect button,” and “He’s blushing,” along with many congratulatory messages, highlight the positive reception from his fans.

Munawar’s wedding to Mehzabeen, which took place last month, was kept under wraps until pictures of the newlyweds went viral on social media. The couple’s intimate wedding was attended only by close friends and family. Mehzabeen, who is reportedly divorced, has a 10-year-old daughter from her previous marriage.

The love story between Munawar and Mehzabeen is said to have begun a few months ago when they met for professional reasons. Their connection quickly blossomed into a romantic relationship. On May 26, the couple hosted a wedding reception at Mumbai’s ITC Grand Maratha, celebrating their union with their loved ones.

Munawar was previously married to Jasmine, with whom he shares a six-year-old son, Mikael. He first opened up about his family during his appearance on Kangana Ranaut’s reality TV show Lock Upp, and later spoke about his son on Bigg Boss 17.

“I have been with someone for the past two years. I was in a marriage in 2017 and in 2020 we got separated. Last year our divorce was finalised. Amid all this, the best thing about my life is my son. He is 5 years old and stays with me,” Munawar shared.

During his time on Lock Upp, Munawar formed a close bond with fellow contestant and social media influencer Anjali Arora, although they never confirmed their relationship. He also briefly dated Nazila Sitaishi before his marriage to Mehzabeen.
